Seminar on Widows with UNOG

WRI is pleased to announce a seminar on widows taking place in the UN in Geneva.  This is the first time the UN has hosted a seminar on widows and we are really pleased to have been the sponsors of this event.    We are really grateful for the support of other organisations who are keen to advocate for widows.  There is a growing movement for widows' advocacy and it seems finally after the efforts of many pioneers in the area, we are gaining some traction.  We hope this event will really push forward all the efforts that have been made thus far.  We invite all those interested in the potential and plight of widows to join us in making this seminar as successful as possible.  There are limited places in the room.  When registering, please indicate your organisation and email us with information on your interest in widows.

• Best practice from around the world.
• Legislation - Harmful traditional practices, advocacy and action.
