Abby Younis is passionate about women's rights, empowerment, and welfare. She is a Financial Crime Consultant and a committed member of Soroptimist International - a global organisation standing up for the rights of women and girls. Abby is on the Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland's (SIGBI) Micro Finance Committee which provides micro loans to underprivileged women entrepreneurs across the world. Being an active advocate of women's cancers, she is also on SIGBI's Elimination of Cervical Cancer in Africa, a campaign seeking to eradicate cervical cancer (of which thousands of women die each year) in Africa. At a local level, she is the joint head of fundraising at SI Crosby.

 

In 2023, Abby represented SIGBI at the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
