About the event
Data on widows is incomplete, however it is widely agreed by organisations working in the field that a conservative estimate would be over 300 million widows worldwide. This event aims to raise awareness of the plight of widows; the diversity, range and size of this demographic; & their contribution to their communities when enabled.
Experts and activists will share best practice from around the globe. All participants will then be able to contribute to the discourse on how to alleviate the plight of widows and recognise them as positive agents of change.
Speakers include:
HE Ambassador Zénon MUKONGO NGAY
Dr Eleanor Nwadinobi, President WIDO
Richie Lontulungu, Dep Secretary HRC
