Widowhood in all its forms has huge implications for women and children the world over. One area that is rarely discussed is child widows. The increase in child marriage has led to an increase in child and young widows. This interactive panel of experts, activists and young women, will highlight the challenges, share best practice & possible solutions. There will be time for discussions and a section to glean top key actions for dissemination and implementation.

Speakers:

  • Chair - Zarin Hainsworth OBE

  • Dr Adebisi Adebayo - Chief IAC Geneva Liaison Office

  • Ruby Woods - NAWO YWA

  • Dr Fulata L Moyo - PHD Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians

Support us

There's only so far we can go with donating our expertise and connections, and giving our time and energy, and while the best things in life may be free, thousands of widows in Africa and India wouldn't agree. Our lobbying and advocacy effort takes money. So if you can, please donate.
